.Wij (K'neeltje en ik) vonden beiden dat ze TE slank was (een veel voorkomend trollenprobleem), dus daar hebben we vandaag aan gewerkt. Ze heeft nu een gezellig zwembandje om haar middel en het elastiek van haar rok zit al iets ruimer.
Voor een oma ziet ze er nog prima uit, hoor!
Nu nog haar tweede hand vilten en dan kan ze weer netjes in de kleren...
Ze is iets meer dan 40 cm lang. Gemaakt van 100% schapenwol, een paar glasogen en een frame van ijzerdraad. En een heleboel viltnaalden, want die gaan snel krom als je het ijzerdraad raakt...
Omdat de bergschaapwol bijna op is, is een gedeelte van haar lijf van merinowol gemaakt. Dat prikt net iets minder prettig dan bergschaap. Het is te fijn van structuur en daardoor beter geschikt voor natvilten. Maar ja, ik heb nog bijna een kilo liggen
. Opmaken, dus!Haar kleding is van restjes katoen of van kleding uit de kringloop, alles zo natuurlijk mogelijk.

We (K'neeltje and I) thought that she was a bit too slender, which is an often occuring troll problem, so we decided to work on that today. She now has some extra love handles around her waist and the elastic waistband has been widened.
But she still looks awesome for a grandma!
Now I'm off to felt her other hand and then she can put on her clothes again.
She's more than 40cm (15 inches) tall. She's made completely from sheep wool, a pair of glass eyes and a frame of iron wire. It also cost a lot of felting needles. They tend to bend as soon as they hit the iron wire...
Since I used almost all of my mountain sheep wool, part of K'neeltje's body is made from merino wool. It's not as good for needle felting as mountain sheep wool, because the structure is too delicate for that. It can be better used for wet felting. But oh well, I still have a kilo of merino wool lying around.
Time to start reducing that pile!I made her clothes from remnants cotton clothes I got from the secondhand store. Everything is as natural as possible.
